Hundreds of Miles.
Zero Crowds.
The Markagunt Plateau trail network is extensive enough that a full day of riding still leaves routes you haven't touched. Here's how to make the most of it.
What you're actually riding through.
Duck Creek Village sits on the Markagunt Plateau in the Dixie National Forest — one of the most trail-dense OHV areas in southern Utah. Mostly forested, with open meadow stretches, seasonal streams, and occasional breaks in the canopy that drop your jaw with panoramic canyon views far below.
The route network is genuinely extensive. You can ride for hours without retracing a tire track — which isn't something most rental destinations can offer.
The destinations worth aiming for.
Navajo Lake Loop
About 10 miles from the shop, with rim riding that puts the canyon country far below you. One of the most scenic routes in the whole plateau system.
Strawberry Point
A viewpoint that looks south over a massive stretch of canyon country toward Zion. Worth the fuel every single time. Fuel up before you go.
Panguitch Lake Connector
East toward Panguitch Lake on forest roads that climb and drop through serious canyon-edge terrain. Check conditions at pickup — this one changes with weather.
Ride smart.
Come back talking about it.
"Set the pace to the slowest rider, not the fastest. Duck Creek terrain looks easy until it bites at speed. Leave gap, signal stops, and check in at every junction."
Forest roads here have blind corners, wildlife crossings, and sandy patches. Experienced or not — stay smart. When you pick up with us, we give you a full route briefing based on your group’s skill level. It’s worth paying attention to.
Find your favorite trail.
Then come back for the others.
