Questions Worth
Asking Before You Go.
Straight answers. No runaround. If something's still unclear after this page, just call — we like talking about this stuff.
Do I need to know what I'm doing?
No prior off-road experience required. Side-by-side UTVs are intuitive if you can drive a car, and we do a proper walkthrough before you leave the lot. If your whole group is brand new, tell us at booking — we'll set you up with the right machine and the right first route. Duck Creek terrain is actually a great place to learn: forested roads are more forgiving than open canyon country.
Can my kids ride?
Kids can ride as passengers in our side-by-sides with a parent or guardian. Minor operators have specific age requirements under Utah law. Include the ages of all riders in your party when you book and we'll make sure the sizing and legal requirements are handled before you arrive. Helmets in the right sizes will be ready.
What do I actually need?
A valid driver's license for every operator. Utah requires the Utah Off-Highway Vehicle Education Course for all OHV operators on public land — it's free, online, takes about an hour, and it's a one-time lifetime requirement. Complete it before your trip and bring your certificate. Out-of-state riders: this applies to you too.
How far in advance?
As far out as you can manage. Summer weekends at Duck Creek book fast — sometimes weeks in advance. If you have a fixed date, book it as soon as you decide to come. Last-minute availability opens up occasionally but don't build a trip plan around it for a summer Saturday.
